Job summary

NS2 Mission in Northern Virginia seeks a Senior Test Engineer to validate enterprise applications, improve testing processes, and support the delivery of high-quality software across complex mission environments.

You will work with developers, systems engineers, and stakeholders to develop and execute test strategies, identify defects, and contribute to automated testing frameworks while ensuring compliance with established standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• Experience supporting software testing or test engineering activities.
• Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, Confluence.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and QA best practices.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, cases, and procedures to validate functionality and performance.
• Identify, document, track, and help resolve defects and system issues.
• Support QA activities throughout the software development lifecycle and ensure standards compliance.
• Participate in reviews of requirements, designs, test plans, and implementations.
• Evaluate software, hardware, and documentation to verify functionality and readiness.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to identify testing requirements.
• Contribute to automated testing solutions to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Support regression, integration, functional, and user acceptance testing.
• Use GitHub, Jira, and Confluence to support testing, defect tracking, and documentation.
