RTX is seeking a qualified engineer to join our Marlborough, MA site for an onsite role requiring active DoD Secret clearance. You will coordinate with site teams, analyze SITREPs, and drive fault tree analyses while coordinating run requests for operational and testing needs.

The role emphasizes documenting complex processes and communicating insights to leadership to support continuous improvement in defense programs.

Qualifications

What You Will Do

• Conduct tag-ups with site teams to ensure software representation and alignment on operational activities.

• Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for driving fault tree analyses and facilitating in-depth technical discussions.
• Act as the lead point of contact (POC) for managing and coordinating run requests to support operational and testing needs.
• Document and maintain detailed records of complex and unique processes, ensuring clarity and accessibility for team members.
• Collaborate with leadership to effectively communicate and provide insights on site-specific issues, driving resolution and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Experience supporting deployed systems, field operations, or mission-critical environments.
• Experience translating field conditions and customer needs into actionable engineering tasks.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving field software issues.
• Experience communicating/coordinating across stakeholders.
• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to the start date.
• U.S. citizenship is also required as eligibility for a security clearance is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with radar systems, defense systems, or large-scale real-time software.
• Experience with software deployment pipelines, installation tooling, or operational monitoring solutions.

Salary

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD.

Location and Travel

This position is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply. The position is on-site in Marlborough, Massachusetts, with some travel expected to support integration efforts at our Land Based Test Sites, or Ship deployments, as necessary.
