Job summary

ASRC Federal Mission Solutions seeks a Software Integration & Test Engineer to support the U.S. Navy Aegis Weapons System in Moorestown, NJ.

You will perform system-level software integration and testing in a laboratory environment, loading software builds and assisting with lab operations under senior engineer guidance. Responsibilities include executing integration tests, identifying defects, and contributing to automated regression testing using Python or similar languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience in software integration, system test, or software engineering.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
• Basic proficiency in Python or similar scripting language.
• Foundational understanding of software testing and SDLC concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of system architecture and inter-subsystem message flows in distributed pub/sub environments.
• Execute system-level integration test procedures from documented software requirements.
• Document and retest integration defects; collect logs, traces, and diagnostic data.
• Support automated regression tests using Python or similar scripting languages.
• Troubleshoot integration issues under guidance from senior engineers.
