Job summary

ASRC Federal Mission Solutions seeks a Software Integration & Test Engineer to support the U.S. Navy Aegis Weapons System in Moorestown, NJ.

You will engage in hands-on, live-system integration, developing test procedures and troubleshooting distributed software components in a lab setting. The role requires 2–4 years in software integration or system testing, with C/C++ and Java code reading, Python scripting, and Linux proficiency.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in software integration, system test, or software engineering in a controlled environment.
• Experience reading production code in C/C++, Java, or similar languages for troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language.

Responsibilities

• Understand system architecture and inter-subsystem pub/sub flows.
• Develop and execute system-level integration tests from requirements and document outcomes.
• Read production software to support integration troubleshooting and validation.
• Identify, isolate, and retest integration defects; collect logs and diagnostic data.
• Develop automated regression tests using Python and diagnose failures.
• Create utilities or tools to improve testing and diagnostics.
• Install and integrate subsystem software builds into lab equipment; conduct integration testing with hardware and simulators.
• Maintain lab operability and provide hands-on support during integration/test activities.
• Coordinate lab resource usage and collaborate with developers, systems engineers, and teams in a controlled environment.
