Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking junior software engineers to support the U.S. Navy's Aegis Weapons System in Moorestown, NJ. You will work in a collaborative, Agile team on real-time mission-critical development across Java, C++, and Python environments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a government security clearance. You will participate in requirements and design reviews and contribute to system integration and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field or equivalent related work experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 0–2 years of Real time mission critical development, maintenance, or support in an Open/Layered Architecture Environment.
• Experience with Object Oriented design/development and Design Patterns for software insulation techniques.
• Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python across Windows, Solaris, and Linux environments.
• Familiar with UNIX scripts, UML syntax, and IDEs such as Eclipse; testing in driver-based or automated environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, implementation, integration, and testing.
• Participate in software requirements reviews, preliminary and critical design reviews, integration readiness reviews, and software acceptance reviews.
• Research problems and develop solutions.
