Job summary

Elekta is seeking a skilled Integration Engineer to support MOSAIQ installations and HL7 interfaces across EMR systems. You will develop interfaces (HL7, XML, API, FHIR), build test plans, and create design documents to guide deployment and support.

Strong EHR experience and clear communication are essential. Responsibilities include remote installation, interface development, and collaboration with integration programmers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in CS, CE or related field.
  • At least three years of experience with electronic health record data and HL7 v2/C-CDA interfaces.
  • Fluency with HL7 2.x ADT messages and interface development projects.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/10, CPT, SNOMED CT, and LOINC.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for technical and management audiences.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with data providers, admins, and developers.
  • Proficiency in Windows, SQL Server, Azure, MS Office, Teams, SharePoint; Salesforce preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include remote installation and service.



  • Perform MOSAIQ application integration with third party EMR systems.

  • Complete MOSAIQ software component installations and SQL database updates.

  • Perform interface migration tasks for upgrades and new installations.

  • Work closely with integration programmers to develop new interfaces (HL7, XML, API, FHIR, etc.) and trouble‑shoot existing ones.

  • Build application specification documents (including but not limited to functional design, workflow, maintenance, and support/troubleshooting, etc.) in applications like Visio, Word, and Excel to keep track of support processes, hardware configuration details, device inventories, etc.

  • Provide product training to the service and support teams.

  • Build and understand potential use cases to develop, detail and execute test plans for new integrations and modifications to existing functionality.

  • Ensuring project milestones are archived and escalating to project management when issues arise.

  • Ensuring documented processes are followed and suggesting improvements to documented processes to achieve greater efficiencies.


Relevant Knowledge, skills and competencies

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Employees must be able to read, speak, write, and comprehend the English language.



  • Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related.

  • At least three years of experience working with electronic health record data with performing HL7 v2 and C-CDA message interfaces.

  • Complete fluency with the HL7 2.x file format (ADT and clinical messages) and a thorough understanding of how interface development projects work.

  • Detailed knowledge of standard code systems used in healthcare, to include ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED CT, and LOINC.

  • Extremely strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write detailed, accurate interface specifications and other documents for both a technical and management audience.

  • The ability to optimally balance multiple projects and prioritize tasks will be the key to success in this role.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work confidently and effectively with data providers, systems administrators, and software developers both inside a hospital, cancer center or at third-party organizations.

  • Proficiency in Windows workstation, Windows Server, SQL Server, Azure, MS Office Suite, Teams, Share Point, and Salesforce preferred.
