Job summary

iCapital is seeking a Software Integration Engineer - Associate to join the Annuities Platform Team. This role develops, tests and supports well-defined integration solutions that connect client and product systems, spanning application, API, and database layers.

The position offers exposure to ownership of development, testing, deployment support and troubleshooting over time, with occasional weekend/on-call work as needed. Collaboration with Product, QA, DevOps, and Support is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development or integration engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of C# / .NET and OO design principles.
• Experience with REST APIs, error handling, logging and authentication.
• Proficient in XML/JSON data structures, parsing and data mapping.
• SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Experience using Postman for API testing and validation.
• Git for source control; familiar with branching and PRs.
• Azure DevOps for CI/CD and work tracking.
• Familiar with React frontend changes when needed for UI integration.
• Experience with NUnit or xUnit for unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrations of moderate complexity using C#, REST APIs, XML, JSON, and SQL.
• Clarify integration requirements and API contracts through technical discussions.
• Develop, consume and validate REST APIs; handle errors and authentication concerns.
• Test payloads with Postman; troubleshoot integration failures.
• Use Entity Framework and LINQ for data access and manipulation.
• Investigate data-related issues via SQL and logs across environments.
• Manage Git source control and participate in CI/CD workflows in Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate across product, QA, DevOps, and support teams; participate in peer code reviews.
• Assist with basic frontend changes to align UI with integration updates.
• Occasional weekend/on-call support as needed.
