Job summary

iCapital is seeking a Software Integration Engineer - Associate to join the Annuities Platform Team. The role develops, tests and supports integration solutions connecting client and product systems across API, application and database layers.

Responsibilities include building and maintaining moderate complexity integrations using C#, .NET, REST APIs, and data formats. You will work with API contracts, data mappings, and troubleshooting across development, QA, and production environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development or integration engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET and object-oriented design.
• Experience with REST APIs, API contracts, data mappings and validations.
• Strong XML/JSON parsing, validation and data mapping skills.
• Good SQL knowledge and data troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience using Postman for API testing and validation.
• Familiarity with Git, branching, PRs and basic merge conflicts.
• Agile/Scrum experience and iterative software delivery.
• Ability to troubleshoot across API, application code, XML/JSON payloads, database and deployment layers.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends or off-hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrations of moderate complexity independently using C#, .NET, REST APIs, XML, JSON, Entity Framework, LINQ and SQL.
• Clarify integration requirements, API contracts, data mappings, validations and expected system behavior.
• Develop, consume, and validate REST APIs, including authentication and error handling.
• Use Postman to test payloads, analyze API responses and troubleshoot integration failures.
• Work with XML and JSON data structures, mappings, transformations and validation.
• Apply Entity Framework and LINQ for data access and manipulation.
• Use SQL to investigate data-related issues and validate results.
• Troubleshoot integration issues across development, QA, UAT and production with established processes.
• Manage source control in Git and follow established Git practices.
• Use Azure DevOps for CI/CD activities and deployment troubleshooting.
• Understand and make basic React frontend changes when needed for UI updates.
• Manage Jira tickets and follow through development, testing and deployment.
• Participate in peer code reviews and follow best practices.
• Build knowledge of core product and integration workflows.
• Support production issues during weekends or off-hours as needed.
