Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to shape technical direction as the company scales. You will lead engineers, hire top talent, coach teams, and drive architecture decisions to deliver reliable, high‑volume distributed systems on AWS or Azure.

Partner with leadership, product, and customers to define vision, set priorities, and ensure execution from design to rollout while maintaining clear communication across cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS preferred.
• 5+ years leading local and remote engineering teams.
• Experience delivering high-volume distributed systems on AWS or Azure.
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum SDLC and system architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead ambiguous problems to resolution.
• Build a world-class team by hiring, coaching, and developing engineers.
• Directly responsible for growing and promoting internal engineers.
• Define vision, strategy, and requirements with leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive program execution spanning multiple organizations from design to rollout.
• Communicate status, risks, and changes to senior management.
• Collaborate with customers, technical staff, and leaders to deliver features.
• Manage cross-functional projects balancing business needs and constraints.
• Be an effective collaborator in a cross-functional tech organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
