7-Eleven is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to guide a team of engineers, designers, and product visionaries as we transform our legacy retail platform into a cloud-based solution.

You will mentor scrum teams, drive architecture, and hands-on coding while advancing AWS, microservices, and DevOps practices to deliver scalable, customer-focused services powering millions of transactions daily.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering.
• 10-12 years, System Design Skills and Experience in large scale enterprise application.
• Experience in payments and retail domain is a plus.
• Technical breadth across software engineering, integration, data security, cloud, etc.
• SAFe Agile experience through design to production and support.
• Hands-on development with Java, React, NoSQL, DynamoDB; REST APIs; Spring; JavaScript; DevOps CI/CD.
• Strong AWS experience: EC2, Fargate, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Kinesis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multiple scrum teams to design, develop, and deliver engineering solutions.
• Leads teams of engineers, including offshore resources, with clear direction and documentation.
• Hands-on coding while defining product backlog and delivering extensible services.
• Prototype, assess requirements, develop solutions, and perform unit testing; report status.
• Mentor engineers on technical decisions, code reviews, and engineering standards.
• Engage in product and business discussions; shape roadmaps and architectural strategy.
• Improve software development practices, standards, and regulatory alignment.
• Research new technologies to support the digital transformation vision.
• Apply Agile/Scrum practices across the development lifecycle.
