Job summary

7-Eleven seeks an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead the forecourt systems team, delivering dispenser software, payment integration, and media/display across thousands of sites. You will drive architecture, security, and reliability in a high-volume retail environment.

You will mentor engineers in embedded Linux, cloud services, and DevOps practices, while coordinating with hardware vendors and product stakeholders to ensure scalable, secure solutions across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Experience in fuel retail, convenience retail, or high-volume forecourt/store tech environments.
• Direct experience with fuel dispenser platforms (Gilbarco/Wayne/Dover/Invenco) or dispenser protocols (CRIND, SPOT, Conexxus).
• Experience with TPM2, LUKS, Secure Boot, or firmware update security on embedded Linux fleets.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers designing, developing, deploying, and improving forecourt applications and services.
• Guide architectures balancing performance, reliability, security, and cost for a cloud-connected platform.
• Own security posture for embedded devices and PCI/P2PE compliance across the payment surface.
