Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of front-end, back-end and full-stack engineers. You will guide people and processes to deliver secure, high-quality solutions and collaborate with DevSecOps and Architecture teams.

You will nurture talent, manage budgets, and drive Agile practices to achieve reliable product releases. The role is based in Houston, TX with opportunities across company locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field is required.
• 10+ years of diversified IT experience.
• 3+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of software development design and Agile practices/methodologies.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native apps is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees recruitment, development, retention, and performance to build strong talent.
• Plans and leads IT projects delivering on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Ensures availability, reliability, and security of technology systems.
• Drives excellence in software delivery using agile methodologies and DevSecOps.
• Aligns engineering roadmaps with business objectives and communicates progress.
