Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking a Manager Software Engineer 1 to lead a 10–15 person team in the Mission Planning department. The role drives staffing decisions, performance reviews, and promotions while coordinating with HR on salary adjustments.

Responsibilities include guiding engineers, ensuring program goals alignment, and fostering an inclusive, productive work environment. A Secret DoD clearance is required or active enrollment in CEP.

Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM), MIS, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering with Agile or SAFe methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing, recruiting, and training with programs and deliver performance reviews.
• Evaluate and recommend employees for promotions and salary adjustments with HR.
• Assist employees in preparing performance goals and provide career guidance and counseling as needed.
