Job summary

PNC is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the support, stability, modernization, and continuous improvement of critical payment platforms for the PINACLE Application/Platform. You will manage a globally distributed team and own on-call incident response, releases, and disaster recovery testing.

Based in one of several IT hubs (Pittsburgh, Cleveland, etc.), you will collaborate with business stakeholders and technology partners to drive operational excellence and automation

Qualifications

• University degree required; 5+ years of industry experience.
• At least 3 years of prior management experience.
• Experience leading global 24x7 operations and incident response.
• Strong communication with senior leadership.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE, UNIX/Linux, Oracle SQL/DB2, IBM MQ.

Responsibilities

• Lead support, stability, modernization of payment platforms.
• Manage a global 24x7 operation and on-call rotations.
• Oversee releases, change management, and disaster recovery testing.
• Establish monitoring, observability, and proactive issue detection capabilities.
