Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer intern in Salt Lake City, UT to contribute across the full software lifecycle, from architecture to deployment. You will work on applications for government communications, with guidance from a product lead and a collaborative team.

Must be pursuing a STEM degree and have experience in C++ on Linux, plus scripting in Python or Bash. Preferences include Rust, Qt, Angular, multithreading, and hardware integration experience.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience developing in C++ in a Linux environment.
• Experience with one or more scripting languages, Python, Linux script, bash.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the full lifecycle of product development from architecture and design through integration, test and field support.
• Work on software applications deployed to advanced systems processing government communications.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplined teams under guidance of a product lead, participate in code reviews and testing.
