Job summary

RTX is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Applied Signal Technology (AST) group in Salt Lake City, UT, working on software for SIGINT and communications used by U.S. government programs.

You will develop in C++ on Linux, contribute to architecture and design, and participate in code reviews and testing under a team-led guidance structure. The role requires a Bachelor's in a STEM field and practical experience with C++, scripting (Python/bash), and network protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience developing in C++ in a Linux environment.
• Experience with one or more scripting languages, Python, Linux script, bash.

Responsibilities

• Work on complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative while participating on collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams.
• Once cleared, work on actual field deployments of the product under development, ensuring proper setup, configuration, and functionality of systems being deployed.
• Work will be performed with guidance of a product lead and team members who will assist in establishing an approach.
• Perform code review and support in testing to achieve long-range goals and objectives.
