Job summary

Sigma’s Engineering organization is a dynamic, high performing team of Software Engineers who design, implement, and scale technical solutions powering our core product. As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll experiment, prototype, and implement features to help our global user base analyze data.

Qualifications

• Pursuing at least a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Available to intern June 2027 through August/early September 2027.
• Authorized to work in the US during Summer 2027; visa sponsorship not available.
• Internships are in‑person in SF or NY for the duration.
• Able to commit 40 hrs/week for 12 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to build production software and understand how SPAs are built and extended with the user experience in mind.
• Experience backend scalability to handle multiple customers and billions of data points while keeping data secure.
• Own a development project from ideation through implementation.
• Develop automated unit tests and document your work with product owners and techpubs.
• Partner with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to deliver features.
• Design and deliver innovative solutions to improve the Sigma user experience.
• Find ways to optimize the performance of product components.
