Job summary

Figma is seeking software engineering interns to join embedded engineering teams in San Francisco or New York. You will work alongside mentors to ship meaningful features, tools, or systems across product areas.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and QA, learn to break down work, and contribute to tests and infrastructure. This internship emphasizes growth, feedback, and real ownership, with strong emphasis on collaboration and learning.

Qualifications

• Experience writing clean code in at least one general-purpose language (e.g. C++, JavaScript, Python, Java).
• Experience solving technical problems through school, work, or personal projects.
• Interested in how systems are designed and operate, from infrastructure to UI.
• Strong communicator who asks questions and collaborates well with others.

Responsibilities

• Be fully embedded onto a Figma engineering team.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and QA to break down features and plan timelines.
• Build, document, and maintain tests, features, or infrastructure.
• Ship your project(s) by the end of your internship!
