Job summary

Figma is seeking a Data Science intern to work on real product challenges in San Francisco or New York. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, and Data Science to analyze data, derive actionable insights, and inform product decisions.

We value strong foundations in SQL and Python (or R), solid statistics, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical partners. You will be mentored throughout the internship.

Qualifications

• Experience using SQL and Python or R for data analysis.
• Solid foundation in statistics and quantitative reasoning.
• Ability to frame open-ended questions and translate findings to product decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration with technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Own a scoped data science project end to end with Product, Engineering, Design, and Data Science partners with mentor support.
• Analyze user behavior, product performance, or business data to uncover insights and translate them into recommendations.
• Build models to understand user behavior and forecast growth.
• Build and improve data pipelines and tools to make product data scalable and accessible.
