Job summary

Gas South’s Information Technology Office is seeking a student intern to support the development team. You’ll review code, help implement minor changes, and contribute to QA and test automation.

The role involves daily scrums, collaboration with teammates, and end-to-end testing for usability and functionality. A CS/IS degree pursuit with related experience is preferred and Azure/DevOps knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer information systems.
• Internship or prior relevant work experience is preferred.
• Understanding of Azure DevOps and/or other development environments.
• Understanding of C# and/or VB.NET, HTML, CSS, Angular and other front-end frameworks will be a huge plus.
• Understanding or exposure to Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL Server, Git, Selenium, JMeter is a plus.
• Experience with Agile / Fast Paced Development Environment.
• Deadline oriented with proven task completion record; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job description

This position is working in Gas South’s Information Technology Office. Under general supervision and working with the development team, understand the technology stack, review and understand the code base and QA environment, implement minor application changes and/or perform testing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in daily scrums and work on the assigned tasks.
• Participate in code review sessions with the development team.
• Implement assigned tasks namely minor application changes / writing unit tests / Manual QA / test automation as assigned by the team lead / scrum master.
• Actively engage and seek out input from other team members.
• Conduct end to end testing for both functionality and usability.
• Assist the cross functional teams by providing the appropriate level of support for production operations.

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer information systems.

Compensation

$18.00 to $22.00/hourly based on grade level

Pay range is commensurate with education, experience, specialized skills or certifications, etc.
