Job summary

UDig is seeking motivated computer science students for its 8-week Summer Internship Program in a hybrid setup anchored at Nashville or Richmond. You will contribute to real client engagements, write clean code, and learn from consultants and technical leaders.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Foundational programming knowledge in an OO or modern language.
• Working understanding of data structures, algorithms, and version control (Git).
• Exposure to relational databases and REST APIs or cloud services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, well-documented code as part of a delivery team on active client engagements.
• Gain practical experience with modern development stacks and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Participate in code reviews and pairing with consultants; apply feedback to improve craft.
• Help debug, refactor, and document existing systems and data models.
• Dedicate time to research emerging technologies and best practices.

WhatYou ’ llBring:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• Foundational programming knowledge in an object-oriented or modern language (Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript), plus a working understanding of data structures, algorithms, and version control (Git).
• Exposure to relational databases and SQL, REST APIs, or cloud services is a plus.
• A strong passion for technology consulting and a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the enthusiasm to ask questions and learn rapidly.
• Ability to work full-time for the duration of the 8-week summer program (6/7-7/30) in a hybrid model based out of one of our hub locations (Nashville or Richmond).
