Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer in the Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) to contribute to secure, scalable software for a large enterprise system. The role involves full SDLC activities within an agile team, leveraging Java, Python, C/C++, and web UI technologies.

Applicants must have an active TS/SCI polygraph and experience with Java frameworks, web services, and cryptographic concepts. Expect a fast-paced environment with DevOps and testing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BS degree plus 2–4 years of experience or MS with less than 2 years of experience.
• Experience with Java.
• Experience or familiarity with Java frameworks: Spring Boot, JEE (JPA, EJB, JTA, Servlet), Jackson, Jersey, Swing, JavaFX.
• Experience or familiarity with multiple languages: JavaScript, Python, C/C++, SQL.
• Experience with IDEs such as Eclipse, VS Code, Visual Studio, WebStorm.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server.
• Experience with Web UI development, Spring, AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLT.
• Experience with version control and configuration management tools.
• Experience with cryptographic systems and related technologies.
• Experience developing on Windows and/or Linux.
• Professional experience with web services.
• Strong software development principles and communication skills.
• Independent thinker able to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and PI planning.
• Analyze requirements and design software using formal specifications and reusable components.
• Develop server-side logic and client UI components for a large enterprise system.
• Create automation scripts and deploy to test/production environments.
• Promote code reuse and cross-program collaboration to reduce maintenance costs.
