Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer in the Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics area. You will participate in SDLC activities within an agile team building a large enterprise system, implementing server-side logic and UI development with Java, Python, and embedded C/C++. Emphasis on secure coding, testing, and DevOps automation.

You will work across Java frameworks, web services, and cryptographic tooling, contributing to design, testing, and integration in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with Java.
• Experience with multiple Java frameworks (Spring, JEE, Jackson, Jersey, Swing, JavaFX).
• Experience with languages such as Javascript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, SQL.
• Experience with IDEs (Eclipse, VS Code, Visual Studio, WebStorm).
• Experience with databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server).
• Web UI development, Spring Framework, AngularJS/JSON/HTML/XML, XSLT.
• Experience with source control and configuration management tools.
• Knowledge of cryptographic systems and security concepts.
• Development on Windows and/or Linux; web services experience.
• Strong software development principles and independent/teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex system requirements and translate into design using formal specifications and data flow diagrams.
• Promote code reuse and cross-program collaboration to reduce maintenance costs.
• Develop automation scripts and deploy to test/production environments.
