Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area. You will work on SDLC activities within an agile team, turning user stories into implementable concepts, and developing server-side logic as well as web UI components using Java, Python, C/C++, and related technologies.

The role requires active TS/SCI polygraph and hands-on experience with Java frameworks, REST/JSON, and secure software practices.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s with less experience.
• Proven experience with Java.
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, JEE, and Jackson.
• Experience with languages such as JavaScript, Python, C/C++, SQL.
• Experience with IDEs: Eclipse, VS Code, Visual Studio, Rhapsody, WebStorm.
• Experience with databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server.
• Web UI development, Spring, AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLT.
• Experience with source control tools.
• Knowledge of cryptographic concepts and crypto systems.
• Experience on Windows and/or Linux.
• Professional experience with web services.
• Strong software development principles; good communication.
• Independent thinker, team player in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and PI planning.
• Analyze complex system requirements and design with formal techniques.
• Provide software process management and promote code reuse.
• Engineer, document, and automate scripts; deploy to test/production.
