Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Software Engineer for the Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area. You will contribute to a large, complex enterprise system using Java, Python, C/C++, and cryptographic frameworks. The role involves agile ceremonies, SDLC activities, and delivering robust, testable software with DevOps automation.

Required active TS/SCI with polygraph on Day One; strong communication and independent work ethic are essential in a fast-paced, security-driven environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Java.
• Familiarity with Java frameworks: Spring/EE (JPA, JTA, EJB, Servlet).
• Experience with languages such as JavaScript, Python, C/C++, SQL.
• Experience with IDEs like Eclipse, VS Code, Visual Studio, WebStorm.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL Server.
• Knowledge of web UI development, Spring, AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLT.
• Experience with source control tools.
• Crypto-related development knowledge (symmetric/asymmetric crypto, ASN.1, XML canonicalization).
• Experience on Windows and/or Linux, with web services.
• Strong software development principles; good communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Translate user stories into implementable concepts and code.
• Develop and test software across the full SDLC.
• Create reusable functions and cross‑program components.
• Document automation scripts and deploy to test/production environments.
