Job summary

Parsons is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our team. You will design, write, test, and debug software in support of our mission and on agile teams that deliver quality software for our customers.

You will occasionally work remotely and on-site for testing, troubleshooting, and debugging, with quarterly travel to planning events in Maryland or other assigned locations. A Top Secret clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance required.
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
Programming experience using Java and/or Python.
Experience delivering software solutions for government or commercial customers.
Experience with containerization using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
Familiarity interfacing with SQL and no-SQL databases.
Strong communication skills with stakeholders and team members.
Ability to work in cross-functional planning and fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

Designing and developing software as part of an agile team.
Performing code reviews.
Testing and debugging software.
Participating in planning events.
Periodically assisting the customer remotely as well as on site with testing, troubleshooting, and debugging.
Travel quarterly for planning events in Maryland (preferred candidates located around DC Metro area, Augusta, GA, or San Antonio, TX).
