Parsons is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our team. You will design, write, test, and debug software in support of our mission and on agile teams that deliver quality software for our customers.

You will occasionally work remotely and on-site for testing, troubleshooting, and debugging, with quarterly travel to planning events in Maryland or other assigned locations. A Top Secret clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance required.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Programming experience using Java and/or Python.
• Experience delivering software solutions for government or commercial customers.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity interfacing with SQL and no-SQL databases.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders and team members.
• Ability to work in cross-functional planning and fast-paced environments.

You will be working alongside a group of dedicated developers delivering quality software that directly supports our customer’s offensive cyber capabilities. You will help design, write, test, and debug software in support of this mission.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing software as part of an agile team
• Performing code reviews
• Testing and debugging software
• Participating in planning events
• Periodically assisting the customer remotely as well as on site with testing, troubleshooting, and debugging efforts
• Travel quarterly for planning events in Maryland (preferred candidates located around Washington DC Metro area, Augusta, GA, or San Antonio, TX)

Required Skills

• U.S. Citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited institution with 5+ years of related professional experience
• Programming experience using Java and/or Python
• Experience delivering software solutions for government or commercial customers
• Experience with containerization using Docker and/or Kubernetes
• Familiarity and experience interfacing with SQL and no‑SQL databases
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders and fellow professionals in technical discussions
• Ability to participate in cross‑functional planning, coordination, and task execution
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment

Desired Skills

• Experience using Kafka
• Background or experience in cybersecurity
• Knowledge of testing frameworks including Playwright
• Familiarity with Go is a plus
• Knowledge of Agile and SAFe methodologies

Security Clearance Requirement

An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Salary

$100,900.00 – $176,600.00
