Litify is hiring a Software Engineer for the Time & Billing team, building features from data model to UI to capture time, bill clients, and invoice accurately. You’ll work with AI-assisted tooling, shaping agent workflows and shared prompts, and collaborate across Product and QA to deliver releases.
The role runs on a Salesforce-based product stack; prior Salesforce experience isn’t required, with senior mentors ready to help you learn the platform.
At Litify, we're powering a new era for the legal industry. Since its founding in 2016, Litify has helped law firms and corporate legal departments turn operations into impact through its leading AI-native Platform of Action.
Over 55K legal professionals and 450+ enterprise clients across plaintiff, insurance defense, immigration, and the Fortune 500 trust Litify to combine cloud-based technology, configurable AI-native workflows, agentic AI, and powerful business analytics into one open ecosystem that moves legal teams from systems of record to systems of action.
Backed by Bessemer Venture Partners and recognized as an Inc. 5000 and Deloitte Technology Fast 500 fastest-growing private company, Litify is at the center of legal innovation. Headquartered in New York, we're building the last legal platform our customers will ever need.
Lawyers bill in six-minute increments, and every one of them counts. Litify Time & Billing turns that time into revenue: time entry, billing rules and rates, pre-bills and invoices, payments, e-billing, and a two‑way sync with Accounting Seed. If you like problems where a rounding rule matters and an invoice has to be right every time, this is your team.
Litify is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Time & Billing team. The code you ship decides how firms capture their time, bill their clients, and get paid. We recently integrated with an AI time‑capture partner, so the work lawyers do during the day becomes time entries that flow straight into billing. That is the kind of work this team takes on, and on a small team, your part in it is visible.
We want a strong, versatile engineer who works across the stack and is eager to dig into new technologies. Our product runs on Salesforce. Prior Salesforce experience isn’t required: if you come from Java, C#, TypeScript, or a similar stack, senior engineers on the team will help you learn the platform.
We use AI coding assistants every day to plan, write, test, and review code. We want someone who already builds this way, knows how to check what the assistant produces, works within solid guardrails, and helps teammates do the same. AI makes each of us faster, but the team still designs, reviews, and decides together.
We value speed and follow-through. If you like shipping steadily and seeing your impact in the numbers, you will fit in here.
This job is fully remote, with the exception of employees living in New York City and New Jersey. Our NYC/NJ employees adhere to our hybrid schedule, which involves working in our Manhattan office 6 days a month.
The estimated base salary for this role is $115‑120k. You may also be offered a bonus and benefits.
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.
Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
For government reporting purposes, we ask candidates to respond to the below self‑identification survey. Completion of the form is entirely voluntary.
