Job summary

Ctrl+ is seeking a Software Engineer in Maryland to design, develop, test, and sustain a mission-focused web application deployed in a Kubernetes Linux environment, collaborating with Product Owners, System Engineers, and Project Software Engineers.

A security clearance with polygraph is required; the role emphasizes Linux CLI, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, REST interfaces, and CI/CD. This position supports DoD programs and requires strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with Product Owners, System Engineers, and Project Software Engineers to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and sustain a web application.
• Work in a containerized Kubernetes Linux environment with CI/CD and REST interfaces.
• Proficient in Linux CLI, Bash/Python scripting, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and MySQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and sustain a mission-focused enterprise web application.
• Collaborate across product, systems, and software engineering teams to deliver secure software.

The Software Engineer shall be responsible for collaborating with Product Owners, System Engineers, and Project Software Engineers to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and sustain a mission-focused enterprise web application deployed in a containerized Kubernetes Linux environment.

Position Required Skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Tool Suite
• Experience developing Bash/Python scripts
• Experience developing with Python in a Linux environment
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
• Experience with SQL technologies such as MySQL
• Experience with designing and implementing REST interfaces
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Experience with Git Source Control System

Position Desired Skills

• Experience with the Django Web framework
• Experience with the Celery Task Scheduler
• Experience with NGINX
• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
