Job summary

Ctrl+ LLC, based in Maryland, seeks a Software Engineer to build, sustain, and troubleshoot the Ghostgem software suite for DoD programs. Role involves developing, testing, and integrating with COTS and FOSS packages using Java, Spring Framework, and NoSQL tech.

The candidate should be proficient with Linux tools, Bash/Python scripting, containerization, orchestration, messaging systems, and modern CI/CD practices. Security clearance with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Linux CLI and shell scripting.
• Java development experience with Spring Boot/Data/Integration.
• NoSQL experience with MongoDB.
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience with messaging frameworks like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Familiar with CI/CD and related tools (Bamboo, GitLab CI).
• IaC concepts using Ansible and Git source control.

Security Clearance with Polygraph is required

The Software Engineer shall be responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting
GHOSTGEM's software suite of applications. Software development activities include
implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS and FOSS products, packages, and
libraries.

Position Required Skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
• Recent software development experience using Java
• Recent software development experience using the Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring Data and Spring Integration
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
• Experience with container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes
• Familiar with Messaging Frameworks such as RabbitMQ and Kafka
• Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as Bamboo and GitLab CI
• Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools including Ansible
• Experience using Git Source Control System

Position Desired Skills

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
• Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services in a Kubernetes environment
