Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and debug applications and systems with robust engineering discipline.

The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years (or 3+ years with an advanced degree) and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance as well as PAR access. Salary ranges and company benefits are discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 5 years of related professional/military experience (or Master’s with 3 years) in Systems Engineering.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. government Secret clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test and debug software and systems with logical and mathematical solutions.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers in planning, design, and utilization of electronic data processing systems.
• Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems.
• Prepare operating instructions and ensure software standards are met.
• Design and develop compilers/assemblers and operating systems.
• Ensure software standards are met.
