Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking software development engineers to design, develop, deploy, and support scalable, real-time systems for a global packaging platform. You will own end-to-end infrastructure and collaborate with product, ML, and cross-functional teams to impact hundreds of millions of customers.

The role emphasizes solving complex problems, data structures, algorithms, and OO programming, with a focus on building distributed systems and guiding junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

As SDE you are expected to design flexible and scalable solutions, and work on some of the most complex challenges in large-scale computing by utilizing your skills in data structures, algorithms, and object oriented programming.

We are looking to hire smart and highly motivated Engineers who will work towards launching this next wave of disruptive services platform for Amazon. As a member of this team your mission will be to design, develop, deploy, document and support scalable and distributed real time systems.

A day in the life

Sustainable Packaging team designs and drives the adoption of packaging technologies lower our cost structure, improving customer experience and, as part of the Climate Pledge, reduce our carbon footprint. You will lead the team that works upstream with vendors, sellers, Amazon Private Label and downstream across our outbound packaging suites to drive best in class packaging for efficient fulfillment and waste reduction.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
