Job summary

OpenAI’s Fleet team seeks a pragmatic engineer focused on the development experience for researchers and engineers. You will build and maintain systems to iterate, test, and deploy new features reliably, reducing friction in the research workflow.

You will own design of CI pipelines and testing infrastructure, and help transform Python, Rust, and C++ environments into a state-of-the-art development experience. Location: SF with hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Proficient Python programmer working in large monorepos.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD and building reliable development tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain systems enabling rapid research and engineering cycles.
• Drive design of CI pipelines and testing infrastructure for the build system.
• Develop tooling to improve the development experience for researchers.
