Job summary

OpenAI in San Francisco is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer for the Fleet Scheduling team. You will design, develop, and operate web-based systems that manage AI workloads across large-scale supercomputing clusters.

Collaborate with researchers, product and infra teams to deliver scalable monitoring, job scheduling, and resource management interfaces while ensuring performance, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience with full‑stack development using modern frontend frameworks and backend languages.
• Experience building scalable web apps for complex distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, distributed databases, and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate web-based systems for AI workloads.
• Collaborate with researchers and infra teams to translate needs into UI and backends.
• Build data visualizations (Gantt charts, dashboards) for scheduling and resources.
• Optimize backend services for high throughput and low latency.
• Implement frontend components for scheduling, storage, and compute systems.
• Ensure security, reliability, and scalability across globally distributed infra.
