Thomson Reuters is seeking a software engineer to join a team building systems and tools for our Regulatory Intelligence platform. You will work through the full software development life cycle in an Agile, collaborative setting, contributing code, tests, designs, and production support.

The role emphasizes RESTful services, XML/JSON processing, and web front-end work with Javascript/JQuery/AJAX. A Bachelor’s in CS or equivalent and 1–2 years of Java experience are preferred.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years Java programming experience or coursework.
• Experience with object-oriented design and development.
• Experience with web applications using RESTful services, JSON, XML, Ajax, Javascript, CSS.
• Working knowledge of XML parsing and processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Mansioni

• Design, develop and deliver components for internal applications.
• Develop server-based software with REST web services handling XML/JSON.
• Develop client components using Javascript, JQuery and AJAX.
• Participate in all Scrum ceremonies and drive process improvements.
• Provide rapid response to production issues; off-hour support may be required.
• Push innovative approaches to technology challenges and best practices.
