Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer 2 to build a brand-new Pharmacy Eligibility application and modernize legacy components. The role supports scalable backend workflows and timely claims adjudication, with occasional meetings in Louisville, Dallas, or Nashville.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in systems analysis or application programming development.
• Experience in PySpark, Databricks and Cloud engineering.
• Experience deploying and maintaining Cloud based applications using Azure App Service or Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Experience with relational databases at scale.
• Knowledge of server-side languages .Net, .Net Core or .Net Framework 7.0 and higher.
• Experience with event driven or message driven systems.
• Experience with CI/CD software development methodology.

• Design, build, and deliver high-quality software solutions that enhance healthcare and wellness experiences.
• Develop to optimize scalability, reliability, stability and maintainability.
• Participate across the full development lifecycle, including coding, testing, debugging, optimizing, and deploying production-ready systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to create solutions aligned with business needs.

• Serve as a technical authority, driving architectural direction and delivering scalable applications.
