Job summary

Socket.dev is looking for engineers who crave ownership and the opportunity to ship real software used by a team stage and production users. You will work closely with engineers, technicians and test crews to build what they need and ship code within your first week, with a tool in daily use by the end of the first month.

You’ll leverage AI as a core partner, iterate quickly when issues arise, and push for tangible impact on hardware design and manufacturing workflows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent evidence you can build.
• At least one shipped project used by others (club tool, open source, lab pipeline, personal system).
• Internship or co-op where you shipped something real.
• Strong computing fundamentals and deep curiosity about how things work.

Responsibilities

• Own a defined piece of your team's software with real accountability.
• Sit with engineers, technicians, and test crews to build what they need.
• Ship code your first week and a tool in daily use by the end of the first month.
• Work with AI as a first-class part of the job: agents as coding partners.
• Iterate fast: diagnose, fix, and move on to the next problem.
