Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Production Engineering team that keeps critical developer tools running for hundreds of thousands of developers monthly. You will own operational health end-to-end, building observability and autonomous tooling to prevent incidents and improve reliability.

You'll work across the full stack, from user-facing clients to telemetry and CI/CD, ensuring security and resilience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of OO design experience.
• Experience designing and developing large-scale distributed software applications and services.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational health of production services end-to-end.
• Build real-time observability systems to detect problems before customers notice.
• Develop AI-powered agents that diagnose and fix production issues autonomously.
• Work across the full stack: telemetry services, CI/CD pipelines, security response, and service lifecycle management.
