Job summary

Matlen Silver seeks a Software Engineer, Nexthink Developer to implement Nexthink across Charlotte NC, Raleigh NC, or Atlanta GA. The role focuses on proactively identifying technology issues, automating remediation, and reducing Service Desk workload.

You will manage dashboards, campaigns, and remote actions while collaborating with IT teams. The position requires 1–3 years of PowerShell experience, Windows endpoint support, and familiarity with Intune/MECM/Workspace ONE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, IS, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 1–3 years of experience developing or supporting PowerShell scripts and automation.
• Experience supporting Windows desktop and laptop environments.
• Familiarity with endpoint management platforms (Intune, MECM/SCCM, Workspace ONE or similar).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Job Title: Software Engineer, Nexthink Developer

Duration: 18 months

Location: Charlotte NC, Raleigh NC, or Atlanta GA

Job Summary: Implement Nexthink to proactively identify and remediate employee technology issues before they impact productivity, reducing avoidable Service Desk contacts and support costs. By leveraging real-time endpoint visibility, automated issue detection, and self-healing capabilities, Nexthink enables faster resolution of common technology problems, improves the digital employee experience, and allows support teams to focus on higher-value and more complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the Nexthink platform.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts used for endpoint monitoring, remediation, and automation.
• Assist in creating and managing Nexthink investigations, dashboards, campaigns, alerts, and remote actions.
• Analyze endpoint performance and user experience data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, support, and operations teams to troubleshoot endpoint and application-related problems.
• Participate in the design and implementation of proactive monitoring and automated remediation solutions.
• Build and maintain operational documentation, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures.
• Support software deployment, endpoint management, and technology experience initiatives.
• Assist with platform upgrades, testing, and validation activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and employee experience.

Must Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience developing or supporting PowerShell scripts and automation solutions.
• Experience supporting Windows desktop and laptop environments.
• Familiarity with endpoint management platforms such as Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, Workspace ONE, or similar technologies.
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems, application troubleshooting, and endpoint support practices.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and presenting technical data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Desired Skills

• Experience with the Nexthink platform, including Investigations, Remote Actions, Campaigns, Engage, Dashboards, or Digital Employee Experience analytics.
• Experience with scripting languages beyond PowerShell.
• Knowledge of endpoint telemetry, monitoring, or observability platforms.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, ITSM processes, or IT operations workflows.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments.
• Exposure to automation and self-healing technologies.
