Job summary

CACI is seeking a Software Engineer in the Fort Meade area to join a mission-driven engineering team supporting national security programs. You’ll build and enhance software powering complex systems and collaborate with experienced engineers on impactful solutions.

You will translate user needs into design, develop features, debug defects, and write documentation while leveraging modern AI concepts to accelerate development.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
• 3+ years of Software Engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Degree substitution: Four (4) additional years of SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Translate user needs into software design and performance requirements.
• Develop new features, improve existing capabilities, and contribute to system enhancements.
• Debug and resolve software defects to improve reliability and performance.
• Integrate software components into new or evolving systems and environments.
• Create queries and interfaces for databases and data repositories.
• Design and implement algorithms to meet performance expectations.
• Write, maintain, and review technical documentation for software and systems.
• Investigate workflows and data usage to develop software solutions.
• Lead team when appropriate based on project methodology.
