Job summary

Credence is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and modernize enterprise software solutions for a critical DoD aviation program. Focus areas include cloud-native architectures, AI-enabled automation, APIs, and scalable services to support mission readiness and logistics.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• 15 years of directly related professional experience.
• Experience in software engineering, APIs, microservices, cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Agile software development methods.
• Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise software, APIs, and microservices.
• Design cloud-native architectures and contribute to stack decisions.
• Support deployment through containers and CI/CD, modernize legacy systems.
• Apply engineering best practices—source control, automated testing, code review, documentation.
• Ensure secure development and government cybersecurity compliance.
• Mentor teammates and help shape engineering standards.
• Build AI-enabled capabilities and integrate AI into production systems.
