Job summary

ELEVI Associates seeks a seasoned Software Engineer with a current or active security clearance with poly to join a team delivering advanced malware containment capabilities and virtualization-focused services.

The role requires 14+ years of SWE experience in similar programs, a technical bachelor's degree (or equivalent substituted experience), and strong Linux/VM scripting skills. Expect complex, multi-team collaboration and ongoing modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• Familiar with creating VM images and virtual networking.
• Proficient in Python to automate VM setup.
• Able to multitask and pivot between tasks quickly.
• Experience with Atlassian tools and Git.
• Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE.

Responsibilities

• Gather information with the team and design/configure monitoring tools.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems (analytics, real-time systems, large data sets).
• Work solo or as part of a team.
• Review and test components for design adherence and document results.
• Provide input on system design trade-offs and reuse of COTS/GOTS.

Job description

In order to join the ELEVI team you will need

• You must be willing to work in the Annapolis Junction, MD
• A CURRENT OR ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE WITH POLY IS REQUIRED.
• Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college oruniversity is required. Five (5)+ years of additional Software Engineer experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• ELEV Is looking for an individual who will work with a team of dynamic and innovative engineers to develop new capabilities supporting the virtual malware containment enclave . The individual will also support the modernization of malware enrichment services.

Required Skills

• Familiar working in a virtual environment including creating virtual machines, creating images, and virtual environment networking.
• Familiar with Python to generate scripts to automate VM setup
• Ability to multitask and pivot to different tasks quickly

Some of the day-to-day activities

• Work with a team to gather information and design/create/configure tools for monitoring.
• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements
• Works individually or as part of a team.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
• Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment
• Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade- offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

$170,400 - $200,000
