Job summary

Trimble Transportation, via Transporeon, is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and optimize scalable cloud applications using JavaScript and Node.js. You will work with Postgres, Kafka, and Kubernetes, leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve code efficiency and platform reliability.

This remote role supports Portugal, Spain or Hungary and involves collaborating in cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready features for our global supply chain SaaS platform.

Qualifications

• Solid professional background in software development with JavaScript and Node.js.
• Experience with databases and modern container environments such as Postgres, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
• Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience or strong interest in leveraging AI tools for code generation and workflow optimization.
• Familiarity with microservice architecture definition, system optimization, and automated testing frameworks.
• Prior experience working within SaaS applications.
• Location: Remote (Portugal, Spain or Hungary).
