Job summary

RTX is seeking talented software engineers for its DoD-focused software organization in the United States. You will join agile teams developing real-time, signal processing, ML, cyber security, and DevOps focused software for missiles, launchers, radars, and naval systems. You will design, code, test, integrate, and document software components while collaborating across Centers nationwide.

A U.S. citizenship clearance process is required and the role emphasizes teamwork and rigorous engineering

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in an applicable discipline and actively enrolled through completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience with C, C++, or Java

• Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of application software, and tools.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
• Participate in internal review of software components and systems.

What You Will Do:

The Software organization develops software applications, including integration and test on missiles, launchers, radars, naval systems, fire control and other complex systems. Our precision software and firmware integrate operating systems, device drivers, networking, and control software to bring together sensors, guidance, and flight control processing features to complete the mission.

The Software org is made up of several Centers located across the country, responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Our 4000+ software engineers design, develop, and build innovative solutions for our customers.Join our fast-paced agile teams on the leading edge of technology.

Our engineers design, develop, and build innovative solutions for the U.S. Government.Experience all aspects of a software development life cycle as a member of a fast-paced agile team on the leading edge of:

• Real-time systems design
• Digital signal processing
• Machine Learning and Autonomous Systems

• DevOps technologies and methods

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security interim clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Knowledge of C/C++ programming, structured programming concepts.

• Interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues and leaders in a team environment.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
