Job summary

RTX is seeking a software engineer to assist in requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software and related tools. You will design, code, test, and document software solutions and participate in internal reviews within the Engineering team.

The role requires a STEM degree and experience in C++, C, or Java, with a focus on embedded systems and software development lifecycle practices. Onsite work in the US is required, with potential relocation considerations.

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

Qualifications We Prefer

• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle and processes.
• Experience in a Unix/Linux operating system.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation, and the desire to learn new technologies and tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM, DevOps and test automation.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
