Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in Colorado. You will support the software lifecycle per the SDP, tackling requirements analysis, OO design, coding, and integration, all while contributing to real programs.

The ideal candidate is pursuing CS or aerospace engineering, is proficient in C, C++, or Python, and can work in a team. A US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
• Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• US Citizenship; security clearance required and facility access.
• Knowledge of Agile software development.
• Experience with embedded software/hardware and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C, C++, or Python. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Basic Qualifications
