Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer. You will support the software engineering lifecycle, from requirements through delivery, following the SDP.

The role requires knowledge of C, C++, or Python and requires US citizenship for a government security clearance at a facility with special access. The position is based in Huntsville, AL, and contributes to programs that keep people safe and solve complex challenges.

In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C, C++, or Python. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering or other related degree program from an accredited college/university
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of Agile Software Development--Experience or classroom knowledge with embedded software/hardware
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Ada, Rust.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $67000.00 - $124400.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
