Job summary

Amentum Advanced Solutions, a performance unit of Amentum, is seeking a Software Programmer Intern to support LabVIEW-based data acquisition and control software projects across naval, aerospace, and automotive test facilities. You will work with a team of programmers, engineers, and business professionals to deliver solutions within scope, budget, and schedule.

Interns gain hands-on experience with LabVIEW, Redis, Kafka, C#, and .NET, while collaborating across data acquisition and control

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BS program in CS, CE, or EE at an ABET-accredited institution.
• Strong foundations in software development, OO design, version control (Git), and SDLC best practices.
• US Citizenship required due to project requirements.
• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test software modules for data acquisition and control systems using LabVIEW, C#, and .NET.
• Integrate hardware and software for real-time data acquisition platforms (e.g., NI PXI/cRIO).
• Contribute to relational database development, including schema design and SQL Server integration.
• Collaborate on system architecture using OO design and design patterns.
• Participate in code reviews and version-control workflows to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Document software features and testing procedures for internal and client use.
• Support field deployment and commissioning of software solutions across diverse environments.
