Job summary

Amentum Advanced Solutions is seeking a Software Programmer Intern to support several projects in a fast‑paced environment. You will collaborate with programmers, engineers and business professionals to develop data acquisition and control software and gain hands‑on experience with LabVIEW, Redis, Kafka, and SQL Server.

As an intern you will contribute to both data acquisition and control room development, learn from senior staff, and participate in the transition of legacy LabVIEW code toward

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BS program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with a software focus.
• Strong fundamentals in object‑oriented design, version control (Git), and SDLC best practices.
• Able to work in a team, communicate across levels, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test software modules for data acquisition and control systems using LabVIEW, C#, and .NET.
• Integrate hardware and software for real‑time data acquisition platforms (NI PXI/cRIO).
• Contribute to database development and data integration using SQL Server.
• Collaborate on system architecture and apply OO design patterns.
• Document features and testing procedures for internal and client use.
• Support field deployment and commissioning of software solutions.
