Job summary

WoodmenLife invites applications for a Software Engineer Intern position for Summer 2027 in Omaha. The 10-week program focuses on gaining hands-on software development experience, collaborating with Agile teams, and contributing to projects using Java, C#, .NET, and Python on Microsoft technologies and Azure services.

Interns will participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews, while receiving mentorship and real-world exposure to the insurance industry and community impact.

Qualifications

• Must be a college student in an eligible year (Sophomore, Junior or Senior).
• Must maintain a 3.5+ GPA.
• Able to work 38.75 hours per week.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Gain broad exposure by meeting weekly with the Internship Cohort and leaders.
• Summarize and present capstone internship experiences.
• Be a key member of the Agile intern team as a Developer.
• Collaborate with development teams to build software using Microsoft technologies, including Azure services.
• Gain hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, pipelines, and work items.
